3 Ingredient Peppermint Bark

3 Ingredient Peppermint Bark
It is officially December and I’m so excited to start sharing holiday recipes with you! There is going to be lots of variety (new recipes, old family favourites, desserts, savoury dishes, etc.) and I think you’re going to love what I have planned. I’m kicking things off with something simple: my 3 Ingredient Peppermint Bark. I make this every year and have for about a decade now. It’s easy to make, tastes delicious, and looks really pretty. It freezes well too, so it’s great to make ahead of time and pull it out when you’re ready to entertain or gift it!

All you need is a 1/4 cup of butter, 2 cups of white chocolate baking wafers, and some crushed candy cane. I buy mine pre-crushed from our bulk foods store as it’s less messy, but you can totally just crush your own candy canes if you prefer.

To start, melt your butter in a double boiler (I just makeshift my own using a small pot and a bowl). Once the butter is melted, add in the baking wafers and stir periodically until melted and smooth. Pour the chocolate out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate out evenly over the baking sheet and top with crushed candy cane. Place the baking sheet into the fridge for at least and hour to harden. Once it’s set, transfer the bark onto a cutting board and cut (or break) the bark into pieces.

This recipe is a classic and one I always like to include in my holiday baking. It’s super easy to make and adds some festive colour to your table. Chocolate and peppermint is the best Christmas flavour combo in my opinion, and this bark is so yummy!

Let me know if you try making my 3 Ingredient Peppermint Bark. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
