Happy Saturday! I want to start a new series on the blog called Happy Little Things. This will be a weekly post on Saturday where I share a few things that brought me joy throughout the week. I think this will be a nice way to share some things I don’t always blog about and perhaps inspire you for the week ahead. Let’s get into it!
Lemon Tea
My husband Cole and I started drinking herbal tea a couple evenings this week after falling out of the habit. It was honestly so nice and the perfect way to wind down before bedtime. We have been enjoying lemon tea, which in my opinion is really nice for springtime. I’ve also been sleeping a bit better this week, so it may have helped with that too!
After Dinner Walks
It has rained a fair bit this week, but we are finally getting some warmer weather. On the evenings where we have gotten some sunshine, we have been going on a family walk after dinner. This has been so lovely. H loves being outside as much as possible and we could all use the fresh air before bed. It’s been helping with our digestion and it’s a nice way to connect as a family before the bedtime routine starts.
Peanut Butter Cookies
Last weekend I made peanut butter cookies and I forgot how good they are! They were a childhood favourite of mine and honestly, they’re just as good when you’re in your thirties. They’re classic, simple, and so delicious. I shared the recipe yesterday and think I might make another batch this weekend!
With Love, Meghan
I have been watching With Love, Meghan for a second time on Netflix this week. I know it’s getting a lot of criticism online, but I love it! I find it to be absolutely beautiful to watch and so inspiring. I love all the little touches she does to elevate something and make it a little more special and intentional. If you haven’t watched it yet, I recommend giving it a try. It’s a nice one to relax to.
Gingham
I don’t know what it is, but I am loving all things gingham right now! I just bought a green and white gingham dress from Old Navy that I’m so excited to wear. I also have my eye on a gingham duvet cover that I think would be so pretty for our bedroom. Something about it so spring-like and cheerful!
