This is a newer recipe of mine, but it’s so good and I can’t wait to share. Ever since first making it, Cole asks for it on a weekly basis. He actually told me he thinks it’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever made; and he’s not really a pasta guy, so that says a lot! It’s a little more effort than just heating up a jar of your average pasta sauce, but it is well worth the time in the kitchen. This recipe is restaurant quality in my opinion and going to be a new go-to of mine for when we have guests for dinner.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
This pasta dish is rich, creamy, and full of flavour. It’s decadent and is the perfect choice if you’re looking for something a little fancier for dinner that isn’t difficult to make. We have been absolutely obsessed and I think you will be too!
Ingredients
8 ounces uncooked bowtie pasta
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
4-5 cloves minced garlic
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp dried oregano
salt + pepper, to taste
2 cups cooked chicken (I recommend my Blackened Chicken)
1/3 cup grated parmesan + more for serving
How to Make ‘Marry Me’ Chicken Pasta
Cook pasta according to package directions.
When the pasta is about 10 minutes away from being cooked, add the butter to a large skillet over medium heat. Once it melts, add in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring often.
Add in the minced garlic, chicken broth, and tomato paste. Mix well and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Whisk in the heavy cream.
Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add in the cooked chicken and let everything summer for approximately 5 minutes.
Stir in the grated parmesan and take the skillet off the heat.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss until coated and serve immediately topped with additional parmesan.
How to Serve
This dish is best served right away and topped with a generous amount of freshly grated parmesan cheese. A nice white wine or rosé would pair well here too. We also like to pair this pasta dinner with a Caesar salad too.
How to Store
Any leftovers will save 3-5 days in the fridge in an air-tight container.

While I cannot confirm for sure if this pasta is good enough to get a marriage proposal, Cole’s reaction to it makes me think that if we weren’t already married, this dinner would seal the deal!
