I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m starting to really enjoy playing around with makeup again. I don’t have a ton of free time these days to do my makeup, but I’m really gravitating towards solid basics that I can apply quickly to make myself feel a little more put together. I thought for today’s post I would round up some of my favourite summer beauty picks for you:
Merit The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick
This has been my go-to base for weeks now, and I really love it! I was a bit skeptical if it would be enough coverage for me as I still struggle with a decent amount of acne. I’ve been really impressed though! The formula is easy to apply, it blends effortlessly with a brush (or fingertips in a pinch), and it gives me enough coverage while still looking like skin. It feels lightweight and hasn’t contributed to any breakouts. I love how sleek and compact it is too, making it perfect for summer holidays!
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in “Pink Sugar”
This lip balm is so lovely. It smells incredible and feels really nice and hydrating on the lips. It’s long lasting and the sheer pink tint goes with any makeup look!
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Tinted Brow Wax
You can check out a more in depth review here, but I am still as obsessed as ever with this tinted brow wax. It holds up well in the summer heat and is such an easy way for me to feel instantly more put together.
Merit Shade Slick Lip Oil in “Taupe”
I have been wearing this almost every day since the spring and absolutely love it! This lip oil is so comfortable to wear, offers the prettiest wash of colour, and is pretty long lasting considering. The packaging is so luxurious and I want every other shade!
