I hope you’re all having a lovely summer so far! While I am very much looking forward to autumn over here, I have to say, this summer has been really great so far. We’ve had some fun little adventures, went to a wedding, and are spending as much time in the sun as possible. Having a toddler in the summer is so much fun! Here are some happy little things that have brought me joy in the past couple of weeks:
Weddings
I love going to weddings! They are so magical, and even more so when it’s watching your sister marry the love of her life. My sister got married a couple of weeks ago now and the day was perfect. We had a really nice time!
At Home Date Nights
Cole and I hardly get out for date nights, in all honesty. Unless we have a wedding to go to where Hudson isn’t invited, I think we have had two dates outside of the house since he’s been born! It isn’t top of our priority list at the moment, but it’s still important that we find time to connect and enjoy each other’s company. Last weekend we made a charcuterie board and enjoyed it on the balcony after H went to bed and it was really nice! Date nights don’t have to be fancy or elaborate to be enjoyable.
Strawberry Season
Strawberry season has just about come to an end, but we have really been enjoying it! H is obsessed with all berries, but especially strawberries, so we took him strawberry picking a couple of weeks ago, which he loved. We got so many delicious berries and I tried my hand at making strawberry preserves, which turned out so well!
Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in ‘Sangria’
I recently picked up this tinted lip oil as I have and love “Taupe” for everyday wear but wanted something a bit deeper for makeup days when I go lighter on my eyes and looking ahead for fall. This one is perfect! The deep berry hue is so beautiful and the formula is so comfortable to wear.
