Romanticizing Spring on a Budget

Romanticizing Spring on a Budget

I’ve always been an autumn girl, but I have to say, over the last few years now, spring has been creeping closer and closer to becoming my favourite season. The sunshine, warmer weather, and start of gardening season are really exciting to me. I’m a spring baby and all of my babies are too, so there’s also lots of things to look forward to this time of year. I’m trying to make the most of each season rather than looking ahead, which I often do. Here are some of my ideas for romanticizing spring on a budget:

Bake a Spring Inspired Dessert

One fun thing about spring is all of the fresh flavours. Baking a spring treat is a fun way to spend some time in the kitchen while enjoying something delicious. For something extra, you could even invite over a friend for a coffee and to share your treat!

Create a Playlist for the Season

Creating a new playlist with some upbeat, spring-sounding songs can be a fun way to lift your spirits. Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen, hosting a dinner party, or going for a drive, you can listen to your playlist and instantly set the mood.

Go On an Evening Walk

With the sun setting later and the temperatures getting warmer, going for an after dinner walk can be the perfect way to unwind for the night. Getting out in nature can be so peaceful and good for your health. Things are starting to bloom now too, so it makes for a prettier walk!

Spring Clean Your Space

Decluttering your home for spring can feel so good. It makes everything feel fresh and donating unwanted items can feel really nice as well.

Plant a Garden

This can be as big or small as you’d like, but growing a garden can be a lot of fun and really rewarding. This is something I tried last year and Hudson and I enjoyed it so much! You can grow a variety of things or even just stick to something easy like herbs or flowers.

Open Your Windows

Allowing fresh air into your home is so nice after a long winter. It makes everything feel good and is such an easy way to refresh your space.

What are some of your favourite ways to romanticize spring?
