Starbucks-Inspired Oat Bars

Starbucks-Inspired Oat Bars

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

The classic Oat Bar from Starbucks was such an underrated little treat in its day. It has since been discontinued and while I feel like a lot of people probably haven’t noticed, I was disappointed when I found out. While it wasn’t something I ordered all the time, it made a nice little accompaniment to my caramel macchiato from time to time. I have been trying to recreate something similar at home and think I’ve gotten pretty close.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

These Starbucks-Inspired Oat Bars are perfectly sweet and make a great snack option.  They are plain enough that they’ll pair perfectly with your afternoon beverage of choice but still have a really nice flavour. They’re easy to make, moist, and save well to be enjoyed all week!

What You’ll Need

3 1/4 cups Quick Oats
1/2 cup salted butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

How To Make Starbucks-Inspired Oat Bars

Preheat the oven to 325ºF.

Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar, stirring until well combined.

Mix in the oats, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.

Press the oat mixture into the 8×8 baking pan using your hands or the back of a metal spoon until pressed in firmly.

Bake for 22-25 minutes.

Let cool completely before cutting into 10 bars.

Store in an air-tight container for 5-7 days.

Notes + Tips

These bars can be a little crumbly if they’re cut too soon. It’s best to let them cool thoroughly before cutting to help them hold their shape.
