Baked meatballs are such a staple for us. We eat them with various pasta dishes, as meatball subs, or in soups. They’re one of those recipes I’ve put off sharing as they’re more basic and less exciting; but the basics deserve their moment to shine too!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
These meatballs are full of flavour and super easy to make. They require minimal ingredients and come together in under 30 minutes, making them a great weeknight meal.
What You’ll Need
1 lb lean ground beef
1 egg
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/8 cup finely diced white onion
How to Make Baked Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 425ºF.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients until well mixed.
Form 15 meatballs and place them on the baking sheet, spacing them out evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Optionally, you can blot the meatballs with a paper towel once they’re out of the oven to absorb any excess fat.
Notes + Tips
These meatballs save well in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-4 days but they also freeze well if you’re looking to meal prep for the future.
