I recently shared the recipe for my Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cookies. They were a new creation of mine this year after being inspired by finding cream cheese chips in the grocery store. Those cookies turned out well and were a bit hit around here, but my usual Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies have been requested too.
This is another fall recipe I have been making for years. These cookies are sweet but spicy and are incredibly soft. They taste great and since it wouldn’t be fall in our home without them; I figure I’ll share the recipe with you too!
This recipe is pretty similar to the one I shared before. The main difference is the use of semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of cream cheese chips. To make the batter, you’ll combine some melted butter, pumpkin purée, brown sugar, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips. Drop the batter onto cookie sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1/3 cup pumpkin purée
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
- Then, add in the pumpkin purée and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Slowly mix in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until just combined.
- Use a cookie scoop to evenly place the batter onto the lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
These cookies are a fan favourite around here. They combination of chocolate and pumpkin is really nice and comforting. They have just the right amount of spice while also still being sweet.
These pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are so good and are the perfect fall treat. They pair perfectly with a hot cup of coffee as an afternoon treat. But, they’re equally as good packed in your lunch. We really enjoy them and I hope you do too if you decide to give them a try!
