Classic Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp summer savoury
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 4 tsp worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  • Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, 1/4 cup ketchup, the breadcrumbs, summer savoury, onion, and two teaspoons of the worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
  • Place the mixture into the loaf pan and press down so it is evenly in the pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the remaining two tablespoons of ketchup and two teaspoons of worcestershire sauce. Use a basting brush to evenly coat the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake the meatloaf for 55-60 minutes.
  • Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
