Preheat the oven to 375.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter and brown sugar.
Add in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
Add in the ground ginger, salt, cinnamon, and ground cloves. Stir until well combined.
Slowly mix in the flour and milk, mixing until a dough forms.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is about 1/4 of an inch thick.
Use a cookie cutter to cut out desired shapes and place them on the baking sheet.
Cook for 8-10 minutes.
Let cool 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
